Poet, children’s literature writer, translator, and teacher K. Sivalingappa Handihal is the founding editor of the children’s magazine Balapa. He worked as a field expert in Bellary for the Kanaka Studies Research Institute’s Tatvapadas volume. His notable works include ‘Nanu mattu Kannadaka’, ‘Elebisilu’, ‘Shavolin’, ‘Anandavalokana’, ‘Bellari Bedagu’, and ‘The Young Scientist’. He has received the State Level Sahitya Siri Award, Nalnudi Katha Award, Ashta Diggaja Award, and a National Award from the descendants of Sri Krishna Devaraya.
