VIVEK SHANBHAG is a Kannada author, editor and playwright with 13 works of fiction. He founded the pioneering literary journal Desha Kaala, editing it for seven years. His critically acclaimed novel Ghachar Ghochar has been translated into 20 languages worldwide. He is the co-translator of U R Ananthamurthy’s book ‘Hindutva or Hind Swaraj’ into English.
Vivek is a Visiting Professor of Creative Writing at the Ashoka University. An engineer by training, he lives in Bangalore.
