Book Brahma Literature Festival

Book Brahma Literature Festival celebrates a deep connection between language and culture, particularly the rich 2500-year legacy of South Indian languages (Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu) in shaping world literature. With over 700 languages spoken in India alone, South Indian literature boasts of ancient classics such as ‘Silappadikaram’, ‘Adipurana’, ‘Ramacharitam’, ‘Thirunizhalmala’, ‘Andhra Mahabharatam’, as well as numerous modern masterpieces. This has significantly contributed to 19 out of 58 Jnanpith Award winners. This inaugural event aims to unite writers, publishers and readers on a platform that fosters interaction and celebrates the unique Soul of South Indian Literature.

Book Brahma

Book Brahma is a Bengaluru-based digital media house established in 2019 with a mission to unite everyone involved in literature and culture. It is a platform for authors, publishers, distributors, readers, and critics to connect and collaborate. Over the past five years, more than 165 million literature enthusiasts in 40+ countries have been engaged through online programs, interviews, and ceremonies. The emergence of over 6000 Kannada authors, cataloged over 20,000 books has been facilitated, and have plans to expand to Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. In 2022, Book Brahma launched Kannada’s largest Short Story and Novel competition, apart from actively participating in literary events worldwide.
